Yavapai County Government has announced the retirement of Wendy Ross, Director of Human Resources and Risk Management, effective March 20, 2026. After 23 years of continuous service, Ross is retiring to begin a new family business venture.
For more than two decades, Ross led the Human Resources department, a period she described as “incredibly rewarding.” In her farewell letter, she expressed her gratitude for the professional growth opportunities the County provided.
“It has been a true privilege to lead the Human Resources Department and contribute to the growth and success of our community and its dedicated staff,” Ross stated.
The County will immediately begin the search for her successor. County officials thanked Ross for her leadership and commitment, and wished her success in this new chapter.
